Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Babywearing is the practice of wearing or carrying a baby in a sling or in another form of carrier. Babywearing has been practiced for centuries around the world. In the industrialized world, babywearing has gained popularity in recent decades.
Woven Wrap and Ring Sling are the two most suitable types of carriers for newborn babies as it is mostly fabric. This allows the wearer to easily make sure that the newborn baby maintains his/her C-curve. It is also easier to ensure that the newborn’s knees are higher than his/her bum in these two types of carriers.
It takes practice to breastfeed in a carrier, but it can definitely be done. It is something that I recommend practicing at home first. If you’re just getting the hang of breastfeeding, you’ll want to get that down pretty well before moving on to nursing in a carrier.
